Coral Springs Police and Fire Rescue responded to the home and the child was taken to Coral Springs Medical Center were he was pronounced dead. The boy's family was visiting relatives at the time.

The official cause and manner of death will be determined after an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
